Before his 14th visit to Tennessee, Steve Spurrier says he’s coached there more than some UT coaches

Steve Spurrier loves having fun with Tennessee, and with his South Carolina team set to visit Neyland Stadium Saturday, he was at it again.

The Gamecocks trip to Tennessee will be the 14th time that Spurrier has coached in Neyland Stadium.

Burn, Spurrier, burn. When he was at Florida and the Gators and Vols were rivals for the SEC East, Spurrier famously said that you couldn't spell "Citrus Bowl" without Tennessee.

Is he right? Tennessee has had four coaches since the dismissal of Phil Fulmer in 2008. Lane Kiffin was only there for a season in 2009, so Spurrier has him beat. Derek Dooley was there for almost three years, and coached 20 games at Neyland, while current coach Butch Jones is in his first season. So Spurrier has him beaten too. (For our purposes, it's not fair to include interim coach Jim Chaney, who coached the final game of 2012 after Dooley's dismissal.)

But an easy way for Tennessee to get the last laugh? Beat South Carolina. After the scare UT gave Georgia -- it was a fumble at the one yardline away from potentially pulling the upset -- it's certainly possible.
