BOSTON — A day before Game 1 of the World Series, Fenway Park was in show-off mode. Throngs of media gathered by day to ask questions of players and watch them work out. By night, the 101-year-old park was hosting the World Series Gala, where fancy people drank wine and walked around the stadium snapping photos.
I like snapping pictures as much as the new person with an Instagram account. And since this was my first trip to Fenway, one of the most famous stadiums in all of MLB, I took full advantage of the day and adventured around the park looking for cool flicks.
What I wanted to do: Provide a virtual tour of Fenway that showed sights and perspectives most people have never seen. Even if you have visited Fenway, the average person can't just go sit in whatever seat he or she pleases to scope out the view — far or near. They can't hop onto the field or go into the dugout to see what the players see.
If you want to do that, click through the slideshow above. Fenway offers tours for $16 on non-game days, and that's probably a good time. But, hey, this is free.
