Indiana special teams stud’s two blocked punts on same play result in touchdown

Well, the Central Catholic High (Lafayette, Ind.) special teams coach can't be happy.

His team may have won the war -- a 28-27 victory against Rensselaer Central High (Rensselaer, Ind.) on Friday -- but his punting unit most definitely lost this battle. Twice. To one player.

Rensselaer Central junior Dalton Souders blocked not one, but two punts on the same play -- the first on the punter's try from the 10-yard-line and the second in the end zone on the man originally assigned to block Souders -- resulting in a touchdown by senior Bombers teammate Beau Boswell (h/t Big Lead). Such havoc has never been wreaked.

Speaking of wreaking havoc, Souders has been a beast in every phase of the game this season. The 6-foot, 170-pound wide receiver, defensive lineman and (clearly) special teams stud has compiled 45 tackles, 6.5 sacks, two interceptions and a 27-yard fumble return defensively; four touchdowns on eight catches offensively; and, sadly, his ridiculous play this weekend only goes down in the books as a single blocked punt.

But the Central Catholic special teams coach is stuck watching this film, not the books.
