Is Lincoln Financial Field cursed? The Philadelphia Eagles and Temple Owls may agree

Eagles Fans

Most football teams believe their home field gives them an advantage.

However, Lincoln Financial Field has been giving their teams a “home field disadvantage.”

The Philadelphia Eagles will host Dallas at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday, but the home team should consider moving this game to a neutral site. Philadelphia’s last win at home occurred on September 30, 2012 when the Eagles defeated the New York Giants, 19-17, in Week 4. The Eagles have lost eight consecutive home games, which is the longest active streak in the NFL, according to The700Level.com. Tampa Bay trails with six straight home loses.

Not only is Lincoln Financial Field bad luck for the Eagles, but the Temple Owls are on a losing streak there, too. Temple's last win at the Linc was against the University of South Florida on October 6, 2012.

"I don't know if Lincoln Financial Field is cursed,” Temple safety Abdul Smith told Philly.com. “The Eagles haven't won [there] in awhile [either, not since last September].”

Heck, Army was the home team against Navy last year at Lincoln Financial Field and lost.

Never fear. The perfect storm will occur this weekend.

Temple will host Army on Saturday, while Philadelphia takes on Dallas at home on Sunday. What could go wrong? Army and Dallas winning?

Uh-oh.
