NFL Sunday actives/inactives: Jaguars’ Justin Blackmon expected to play against Chargers

Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Justin Blackmon missed the first four games of this season due to a league suspension and faced missing Sunday’s game against the San Diego Chargers because of a hamstring injury.

It appears Blackmon will be ready to go on Sunday.

NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport said he expects Blackmon to play against San Diego while on NFL GameDay First. Blackmon’s presence will help an offense that may be without receiver Cecil Shorts, who is listed as questionable because of a shoulder injury.

Blackmon has compiled 326 receiving yards and one touchdown after two games. He did not practice this past Wednesday, was limited this past Thursday, and held out of Friday’s practice as a precautionary measure.

"We feel better about Justin Blackmon," Bradley told ESPN.com. "He got quite a few reps yesterday and we wanted to make sure that he would be available on Sunday."

PATRIOTS: While tight end Rob Gronkowski is expected to play against the New York Jets, cornerback Aqib Talib (hip) did not make the trip, according to BostonHerald.com. Talib has four interceptions and was enjoying a Pro Bowl worthy season until this recent setback.

Here is a video Gronkowski made about his return prior to Sunday's game.

We will update the list of inactives as more news develops today.
