Nick Foles under fire before leaving the game. (USA Today Sports Images) Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles was having a pretty awful afternoon when he was seen leaving the sideline with an injury. He was officially ruled out for the remainder of the game.
Foles was replaced by rookie Matt Barkley, who slipped to Round 4 of the draft, making his NFL debut.
With Michael Vick out, the Eagles are so shorthanded at quarterback that tight end/H-back James Casey was listed as the third quarterback. Let's hope it doesn't come to that.
When Foles left the game, the Eagles had not scored a point yet and he had completed a mere 11-of-29 passes for only 80 yards, with a few near interceptions.
