When Jake Locker went down with ugly hip and knee injuries against the Jets three weeks ago, it looked like his entire season might be over.
Now it looks like he's going to miss just two starts.
Media reports, including one from the Tennessean, said that the Titans are expecting Locker to get the start on Sunday against the 49ers. That's a remarkable recovery, considering he was carted off the field against the Jets after he landed in an awkward manner on a hit and the prognosis was he could miss up to two months.
While it remains to be seen how well Locker can move and whether he'll be effective right away, his return comes at a great time for Tennessee. The Titans started 3-1 with Locker, but lost their last two games with Ryan Fitzpatrick playing quarterback. At 3-3, the Titans can get right back in the AFC South race now that their starting quarterback is back.
