Best of Midnight Madness: Jabari Parker debuts at Duke with a memorable dunk

Jabari Parker (via @DukeBluePlanet) The best slam of the night at Duke's Countdown to Craziness on Friday night didn't happen in the dunk contest. Highly touted freshman Jabari Parker delivered it during the scrimmage that followed instead. Having corralled an offensive board along the baseline to the right of the basket, Parker shook his defender, took one dribble toward the rim and threw down an emphatic one-handed reverse slam. Help defenders Marshall Plumlee and Josh Hairston were late rotating over and paid a dear price for it, not a great omen considering Duke's lack of a rim protector on defense may be its greatest weakness this season. In case anyone was wondering, the highlights of the dunk contest were Semi Ojeleye throwing it to himself over the backboard and dunking and Parker soaring over three young kids he had pulled out of the crowd. Not bad, but the in-game slam from Parker was far more memorable.
