Richard Sherman says Seahawks have the best at all four secondary positions

The Seattle Seahawks' secondary was pretty outstanding Thursday night in the convincing victory over the Arizona Cardinals on the road. (Better than, say, the offensive line.)

But now Richard Sherman is ready to kick the hype meter up a notch or three: He's saying that his secondary is the best, to a man, at all four spots.

Wanna argue with him?

“I think we’re the best in the game,” Sherman said. “We’ve got the best free safety in the game, probably the best left corner, best right corner — we don’t switch sides, so we can’t be like other guys who switch sides and do all that. But we can be the best right corner, best left corner, best strong safety in the game.”

Sherman might not be playing at his absolute zenith at left corner, but at worst he's a top-five player at that spot. Who are you going to take otherwise — Alterraun Verner? Darrelle Revis? Aqib Talib? Leon Hall? It makes for a solid debate.

Earl Thomas made this insane interception off a deflection Thursday, and even if he has some minor holes in his game, there might not be anyone in his zip code at free safety.

Kam Chancellor is a freight train at strong safety, and he reminds us of his force every few games with a devastating hit. Maybe Kansas City Chiefs strong safety Eric Berry is having the better season.

Brandon Browner, now back from injury, has been attacked in recent games at right corner, but he stepped up last night with a huge interception to stave off the Cardinals late in the third quarter.

Of course, all we might remember is him stumbling on the return inside the 5-yard line and the defense-imposed fine he earned for that blunder.
