Buffalo Bills quarterback Matt Flynn probably did not have time to visit Niagara Falls after recently joining the team, but he now has that opportunity.
Flynn was released by Buffalo on Monday since quarterback E.J. Manuel was medically cleared to play and will likely start against Pittsburgh this weekend. Buffalo’s current quarterbacks include Thad Lewis, Jeff Tuel and Manuel.
In addition, Buffalo signed free agent fullback Evan Rodriguez on Monday.
The journeyman quarterback did not appear in any games since signing with Buffalo on October 14.
Buffalo is the third team to give up on Flynn this year.
Flynn was traded from Seattle to Oakland prior to this season, but ultimately fell to third on the depth chart. He was eventually released and unemployed until Buffalo signed him last month.
The biggest highlight of Flynn’s career was when he threw for 480 yards and six touchdowns during Green Bay’s 45-41 victory against the Detroit Lions on January 1, 2012.
