Florida hauls its players to homecoming parade in a dump truck

You know, as visual metaphors go, there are better ones that you could devise than putting your players in a dump truck in the homecoming parade, Florida. [Via Deadspin.]

The Gators are playing Vanderbilt, a team they haven't lost to since 1988. The Gators are, at the moment, 4-4, 3-3 in the SEC, and very much in danger of losing to Vanderbilt. The Gators haven't had a losing record at any point in a season since 1992. Even a bowl bid isn't a certainty at this point. Perhaps the trash truck should've been saved for after the game.

Well, at least there won't be too many fans at the Swamp to witness if things go horribly wrong:

Cheer up, Gator fans. A win over Florida State would still make everything all right.
