Randy Johnson is apparently a prep volleyball fan now

Legendary pitcher Randy Johnson at a Tuscon prep volleyball match — Reddit Ever wondered what Cy Young-winning pitcher and future Hall of Famer Randy Johnson looks like in the stands at a high school volleyball game? Of course you have.

Well, wonder no more, thanks to the image you see at the right. Johnson was captured taking in a prep volleyball match in Tuscon, where the Big Unit was attending a tussle between Rincon High (Rincon, Ariz.) and Notre Dame High (Scottsdale, Ariz.). The photo of him in the stands was brought to light by a Reddit user and hit Prep Rally's radar thanks to The Big Lead.

As one might expect, Johnson was there for a reason. His daughter Willow Johnson is an emerging sophomore star for Notre Dame. In Tuesday's game, the younger Johnson helped pace Notre Dame to a 25-21, 25-21, 25-12 straight sets victory.

Afterward, Willow Johnson was a bit more diplomatic with the media than her father was known for.

"First, I want to give credit to Rincon for how they played. It is obvious they are a good team," the younger Johnson told the Tuscon Citizen. "I think we showed a lot of discipline today."

The team showed plenty of discipline. The Big Unit's jeans did not. Perhaps someone should help him buy some longer socks?
