With only five teams in the Top 10 playing this week – and Nos. 1 and 2 off – it’s hard to get excited for this week’s games, but we’re trying.
With so many top teams off, Florida State will have the nation's attention as it attempts to make a statement against Miami. The Seminoles are a three-touchdown favorite in the game - the largest spread ever for top 10 teams - so anything less than an absolute blowout won't help the Seminoles gain ground on Oregon and Alabama.
So, while we get fired up for the rest of Week 10, here’s what you might have missed last week:
Bobby Bowden planted the spear in his first return to Florida State:
Missouri’s dream season ended in epic Missouri fashion:
A 4-foot-9 running back got his first-ever collegiate carry:

OK, that’s your review. Here’s what to watch in Week 10:
Game of the week:
No. 7 Miami at No. 3 Florida State, 8 p.m. ET
Florida State is involved in yet another Game of the Week, however, many don’t expect this one to be as close as the first (which didn’t end up being close either). While both teams are undefeated, Florida State has won its games decisively while Miami has had to grind out wins against Florida, and North Carolina and Wake Forest in the past couple weeks. If Miami has to lean on quarterback Stephen Morris to win the game, the 'Canes will be in trouble.
Game to watch:
No. 18 Oklahoma State at No. 15 Texas Tech, 7 p.m. ET
Texas Tech surprised a lot of people with its play against Oklahoma last week and, even though it lost, proved that it was a good team and not just a product of a soft schedule. Both the Red Raiders and Oklahoma State have one conference loss, but are still in the hunt for the league title with all of the best teams squaring off in the next couple weeks. This could be a fun high-scoring game.

USC at Oregon State, 9 p.m. ET, Friday
Oregon State was a touchdown and a two-point conversion away from taking Stanford to overtime and making the Pac-12 very interesting. And what that game showed was that the Oregon State offense can put even one of the nation’s best defenses back on its heels. That’s what makes this game against USC so interesting. USC, for all its struggles this season, has been pretty good on defense, but will have its hands full with Oregon State quarterback Sean Mannion and receiver Brandin Cooks. Even though USC has had its struggles in Reeser Stadium, this could be one of the best games of the weekend.
Can you believe no one is talking about:
Georgia vs. Florida, 3:30 p.m. ET
Not sure anyone would have thought few would be talking about this game this late in the season, but with both squads losing key games and decimated by injuries, the contest has lost a little bit of steam. Still, games between these two teams have been fun to watch in the past few years – games all decided by an average of five points – and it should be a similar close contest this year. Both of these teams still have an outside shot at winning the SEC East and it starts with this game.

Florida Atlantic
Florida Atlantic went through a little turmoil this week after having to fire coach Carl Pelini and defensive coordinator Pete Rekstis because of illegal drug use. Florida Atlantic wasn’t a good team before this off-field distraction, and with a hot Tulane team rolling into town this week, things could get ugly. Tulane has won four straight, became bowl eligible last week and leads the C-USA West Division.
Upset alert:
Minnesota (+8) at Indiana, 3:30 p.m. ET The Golden Gophers have been on a nice little streak in the past couple weeks with wins against Northwestern and Nebraska. On the flipside, Indiana has lost two straight games against Michigan State and Michigan. Minnesota has the momentum and confidence to win this game, but they have to keep the score manageable. Indiana has gotten into a lot of shootouts this year and Minnesota might not be able to keep up.
