LSU redshirt freshman Kavahra Holmes was arrested by campus police last week for simple battery in relation to a fight at an on-campus dining hall. LSU coach Les Miles said through sports information director Michael Bonnette that Holmes has been suspended indefinitely.

According to the New Orleans Times-Picayune:

Witnesses told police Holmes, 19, pushed two victims to the ground after a verbal altercation turned physical at the '5' dining hall near West Campus Apartments on Oct. 22, LSU police public information officer Capt. Cory Lalonde said. One of the victims did not wish to pursue charges, but both the victims and a witness identified Holmes as the person who pushed the victims to the ground, Lalonde said.

Kavahra Holmes (LSUSports.net) Holmes is the second LSU player to be arrested in the past two weeks. Freshman running back Jeryl Brazil was arrested October 18 for simple battery and simple criminal damage to property after allegedly grabbing a woman by the neck and punching a hole in the wall of her apartment.

The incident was Brazil's second arrest of the season. Brazil has also been suspended by Miles indefinitely.
