Malcolm Mitchell, you are not alone.
The Georgia receiver tore his ACL celebrating a touchdown in week one against Clemson and now Kentucky's Alex Montgomery has done the same thing celebrating a touchdown against Alabama State.
Ugh. Such a tough way to get hurt. And they both happened in similar celebrations.
You can see in the video above that Montgomery jumps to chest-bump his teammates and he knows right away when he lands a bit awkwardly on his left knee that something is wrong. Coach Mark Stoops confirmed it was a torn ACL on Tuesday.
Will we see teams start to ban the chest-bump celebration now? That may seem extreme, but this is now two high-profile ACL tears because of it. You certainly couldn't blame them if they did, right?
