Watch KHL’s Alex Svitov go coast-to-coast to score remarkable goal (Video)

You may remember the name Alexander Svitov from his being the No. 3 overall pick at the 2001 NHL Draft by the Tampa Bay Lightning. He played 179 games between the Lightning and the Columbus Blue Jackets before taking his game to Russia.


He's since averaged 9 goals and 18 points over the last six season with Omsk and Ufa Salavat. This season, through 20 games with Ak Bars, he has six goals and seven points, with his latest tally coming in gorgeous fashion:

The goal tied the game against for Ak Bars en route to a 3-2 victory on Thursday.
