Jacoby Ellsbury escapes after Cardinals hilariously botch rundown on pickoff attempt

Jacoby Ellsbury is too quick for the Cardinals on this pickoff attempt.

What do Kevin Siegrist, Matt Adams, Daniel Descalso, Matt Carpenter and Siegrist again have in common?

Oh, nevermind. Jacoby Ellsbury just got back to first base.

The St. Louis Cardinals, who admittedly had a long plane flight to Boston, failed miserably to execute a rundown after Siegrist had Ellsbury picked off first base in very Kolten Wong-like fashion in the fifth inning. The Red Sox already led 6-0 and didn't add any more runs, so everyone (including Cardinals fans) can chuckle at it.

It's even funnier set to Yakety Sax!
