Watch and listen on ‘Sound FX’ as Matthew Stafford drives the Lions for a thrilling win (Video)

Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford didn't give any secret warning to his teammates before he surprised everyone by faking a spike and jumping over the top to beat the Cowboys last Sunday.

The NFL Films' "Sound FX" episode confirmed that as Stafford rushed the team to the line with only a few seconds remaining and the ball at the Cowboys' 1-yard line, he kept yelling "Clock!" to signal to his team that he would spike the ball to stop the clock.

But, he didn't spike it. Because Stafford wore a microphone for the game, NFL Films had a dramatic look inside the game-winning drive and score.

Stafford later explained what happened to teammate Calvin Johnson on the sideline.

"I was reading them, and if they were coming i was just going to spike it, but they were like this," Stafford said, showing Johnson that the Cowboys players weren't set before the play. "So I was like, 'Gimme that!'"

Lions offensive coordinator Scott Linehan met Stafford coming off the field after the score, imploring him to get ready in case the replay showed that the ball wasn't in the end zone.

"It's in!" Stafford yelled among the celebratory chaos.

It's a great look at the Lions' final drive and game-winning play of one of the NFL's best games of the 2013 season.
