ST. LOUIS — Pete Kozma may not deserve to get the "goat" treatment again, but that's not going to stop angry St. Louis Cardinals fans who watched a 4-3 lead bounce off his glove Saturday night in Game 3 of the World Series.
Xander Bogaerts hit a chopper up in the middle with two outs and Boston Red Sox runners on first and third. It took a high hop, out of Kozma's reach, though it did smack against his glove. Shane Victorino scored to tie the game 4-4, as the Busch Stadium crowd groaned.
This was ruled a hit, so it wasn't like his Game 1 gaffe where he just totally missed the ball. Still, many people on Twitter, Cardinals fans and otherwise, were blaming Kozma for the blown lead the Cardinals had just taken an inning earlier.
