Kliff Kingsbury offers students cash prizes for the best costumes on Saturday

Fortune favors the best costume this week when Texas Tech and Oklahoma State meet at Jones AT&T Stadium.

Coach Kliff Kingsbury asked fans to show up to the game in their best costumes and hashtagged his tweet #letsgetweird, which we’ll just leave to interpretation.

But then the official Texas Tech Athletics site sweetened the pot by announcing the Kingsbury was going to award cash prizes to the top three costumes.

See, this is why the people of Lubbock love Kliff Kingsbury – he gives them wins and he gives them money.

Bribing is a great way to get students in the seats. Perhaps Nick Saban should try it.
